The DOCOMO interTouch Internet Printing Solution is a web-based solution that does not require any printer drivers or additional applications to be installed on a user’s computer, making it easy for anyone to use.

An essential service for hotel guests

Internet printing provides ultimate flexibility to hotel guests and visitors. They are able to print from any location within the hotel, and collect their print-outs any time within a 24 hour period. All they need is to connect to a DOCOMO interTouch wired or wireless hotel broadband internet network via their laptop or PDA.

Once connected, they can upload the files that they wish to print through the web browser. The selected files are securely sent to the printer via a secured 128-bit encryption. Guests are provided with an assigned “Doc ID” (document ID), which they will then use to key in to the PrintMe device located at the printer to retrieve their print-outs.

A secure and convenient service

Security measures deployed to encrypt documents sent over the network ensure material confidentiality. Users pick up the documents themselves at a dedicated printer using a system-assigned ID, further enhancing security. The service is available 24×7 as the printer does not need to be manned.

A flexible business model for the hotel

Printing charges are entirely at the hotel’s discretion. Hotels can choose to waive these charges or to charge by page, by print job, or as a one-off usage fee.

Charges can be consolidated with guest room charges either automatically (requires hotel taking the PMS integration option), or manually by hotel staff. Automatic billing is not available if the service is used from a wireless connection in a public (non-guest room) area. Charging with pre-paid or credit cards is not available at this time.
